BossBloggers Miami Brunch Recap

This past Saturday was the second of what I hope will be many BossBloggers events. The informational panel sessions are not ones to be missed or taken lightly. There is so much insight at these events that anyone trying to grow her business would benefit from. Whether you’re a blogger, a content creator, a local business, or just starting, these events will touch up on things that will undoubtedly help you and your business grow.

At this last meeting, around 100 bloggers gathered to hear industry secrets from PR leaders in our community. Not only that, but local business got together to showcase their goods, and boy were they yummy. Sponsored by big names like Smirnoff and Bailey’s, the event also featured 10 other local vendors (see the list below).

Smirnoff Zero Sugar Infusions – @smirnoffus

Baileys Vanilla Cinnamon – @baileysus

Health-Ade – @healthade

Sweet Leaf Tea – @sweetleaftea

Spirit of Drini Water – @spiritofdriniusa

Root N Seeds Cantina – @rootnseedscantina

Zalie Cakes (vegan) – @zaliecakes

From authentic tortilla española brought to us by La Taberna Giralda to the best cinnamon rolls I have ever tasted (thank you Sequoia Baking Co— they launch this Friday, btw), the brunch was not short on delicious treats. And, of course, what’s brunch without cocktails? The refreshing 0 sugar Smirnoff drinks didn’t fail to add the perfect touch.

The panel featured 5 local PR gurus who spilled it all in terms of what they expect from content creators they are working with. Tips like picking up the phone to make a phone call or going above and beyond what is expected were only the tip of the iceberg. They shared what their pet peeves are, how to approach business, how to be more relevant, and much more.

As a fairly new blogger, events like the BossBlogger Brunch, help me truly understand what I need to work on. I left with a different mindset and a bright outlook. But not only that, I also got to see some blogger friends and met some new ones. These events not only help us grow individually but also as a community because they bring us together and almost force us to collaborate. I was shocked when ladies came up to me and asked me if I was @americatravels. It’s funny how we don’t even realize the impact with have.

It was lovely to mingle and catch up as well as become more educated about an industry that is ever growing and ever changing.

I look forward to continuing to learn from BossBloggers. Thank you @thewantertog and @honeyimgouda for bringing us all together <3
