Wedding Officiant, a favorite of my many hats

I often get asked why I enjoy officiating at weddings, and I guess the answer is simple:

I am in love with love.

I indulge in seeing two people who are head over heels make a commitment to love each other and work through whatever challenges life throws at them.

It’s really one of my favorite jobs.

I get to hear the story behind the couple, and I get to write a love story unique to them and their special day. Really, I couldn’t think of a more special way to honor love and marriage than to officiate.

This weekend, I got to officiate for a special couple. One of the grooms was my former neighbor, and he called me immediately after he got engaged last year. There was so much anticipation surrounding this wedding, and there was so much love that it was overwhelming.

The wedding was held at the Secret Gardens in the Redlands (a location I had been dying to visit). And it did NOT disappoint. It’s a stunning garden with various crystal blue ponds inhabited by Koi fish.

The lavish gardens boast dozens of photops including bridges, a bed, a tricycle, gazebos and more. An enormous LOVE sign decorated the area of the reception which was housed under a gorgeous clear tent decked in lights.

It was a beautiful ceremony and a spectacular event overall, and I am honored to have been a part of it.

Can’t wait for my next wedding! Who, oh, who will it be?

KNOW SOMEONE GETTING MARRIED?

SEND THEM MY WAY 🙂
